“Sometimes Robots Just Like Being Robots” is my first foray into the world of publishing outside of penning lyrics for Less Than Jake.

“When I was growing up there was nothing that I liked more than robots, and even to this day a collection of robots sits on a large shelf in my office as I toil away on various things. As I get older the idea of robots becomes slightly deeper than the beeps and buzzes that I love. These stories slid around my head and out of my hands from coast to coast, on napkins and in notebooks, they are intercontinental, written in airplanes and tapped away in taxis as I traveled around the world.This is my love letter to my first love, a robot.”

The book is illustrated by Eric Davison (who also did Less Than Jake’s “Anthem” record cover, as well as some merchandise).
