WHY WE USE AMBER GLASS
We could package coffee in a bag.
Instead, we chose amber glass.
For over a century, amber glass has been used to protect things worth preserving. Pharmacists stored medicines in it. Chemists stored compounds. Breweries bottled beer in it. It wasn't chosen because it looked good—it was chosen because it worked.
Amber glass blocks the ultraviolet and blue light that slowly breaks down what's inside. Light is one of coffee's biggest enemies, quietly robbing it of aroma, flavor, and character. The same protection that preserves essential oils, tinctures, and laboratory chemicals helps preserve roasted coffee.
Glass also doesn't absorb flavors or release them back into the product. It won't leach chemicals or hold onto yesterday's coffee. It's inert, clean, and made to last.
Then there's what happens after you've finished the coffee.
The jar doesn't become trash. It becomes a container for whatever comes next—pens, screws, flowers, spices, film, matches, memories, or the next object worth keeping.
We believe packaging should have a second life.
Because the best objects aren't disposable.

WHY WE USE BEESWAX
We could have used paraffin.
Instead, we chose beeswax.
For thousands of years, beeswax has been used to make light. Long before electricity, it illuminated homes, workshops, libraries, and places of worship. It wasn’t created in a factory—it was built by thousands of bees, one small cell at a time.
We like that.
Beeswax burns differently than most candles. It burns slower, cleaner, and with very little smoke when cared for properly. It carries its own subtle scent of warm honey and wildflowers without perfumes or synthetic fragrances trying to improve upon it.
Nothing has been added.
Nothing needed to be.
Like the coffee we roast, we believe the best materials don’t require much intervention. Start with something exceptional, treat it with respect, and let its natural character speak for itself.
Every candle is hand poured in Gainesville, Florida, then poured into reusable amber glass—a vessel designed to live on long after the final flame.
Fill it with coffee.
Store pencils.
Root a cutting.
Collect small things worth keeping.
